Jim is an experienced climbing coach, giving him the expertise to teach climbers how to maximise their potential on the board.

The workshop will cover the following:

  • Introduction

    • How we can use the board as a training tool

  • Warm up

    • Off the wall vs. on the wall/board

    • Using repetition of easy boulders to refine skills

  • Board Technique

    • Using thumbs for stability

    • Engaging shoulders

    • Controlling the cut-loose

    • Toeing in

    • The importance of the trailing leg

To get the most out of the workshop we would recommend that you climb regularly on the board and are able to climb at least approx. board V4/5.
