Queer Climbers LDN Pride Social - Sat 22nd June

We’re so excited to announce our rollicking frolicking queer ass Pride social! We’re over the moon to be teaming up with Rise to run workshops throughout the evening. We hope you can join us for a wicked night celebrating our beautiful community ❤️

Saturday 22nd June, 5 - 10pm @ Rise Climbing, tickets required

This event is run by and for Trans, Non-Binary, Queer and LGBTQIA+ folk. No racism (including anti-semitism, Islamophobia, and xenophobia), transphobia, homophobia, ableism, or any other form of hate or prejudice  will be tolerated at this event.

Tickets

Tickets are £16 and include:

  • Free shoe hire (normally £3). Subject to availability

  • £1 of your entry fee is a donation to the charity Rainbow Migration

  • £1.60 of your ticket goes towards our pay it forward scheme to support funded spaces for low/no income attendees

  • Optional registration to one or more workshops (details below)

Workshop Spaces

Once you have your event ticket it’s free to sign onto one of our workshops - spaces are limited so make sure you book before they're all gone!

Workshops as follows:

  • Intro to Bouldering (V0) - run by a Rise Climbing instructor, this session is perfect for completely new and beginner climbers who are climbing V0 / V1 grades

  • Bouldering Basics (V1-2) - run by a Rise Climbing instructor, this session is great for climbers looking to work on fundamental climbing techniques at the V1 / V2 grade range

  • Dynamic Climbing Essentials - dynos, paddles, coordination moves, all things climbing new school. Join this group if you want some psych to help you start jumping around on the wall. Please note this is a facilitated session only, and is not run by a climbing instructor. We recommend that you are a relatively experienced climber and are able to regularly climb V3 / V4 climbs.

  • Mobility for Climbers - Faye (@strengthandflow) will guide you on how to feel connected to your body, self-assess what areas are feeling ‘tight’, and how you can move smoothly without the creaky, clunky feeling.

Funded Spaces

We are able to offer 10 funded spaces – free entry to the event – for any LGBTQIA+ person on low or no income.

Please sign up for a funded space using this form. These are allocated on a trust basis - you do not need to provide any evidence.
