Setter Showdown ‘V1 and done...’ - 25th November
Here’s the concept: 5 top setters, 15 blocs, 1 winner.
This isn’t your conventional comp, this is a setter showdown, where it’s all about celebrating V1’s!
Each setter will have 2 hours to set and test a V0, V1 & V2. Then the judging can commence! There will be a professional panel, and most importantly a people’s panel - that means you!
We will be getting a load of new holds to make sure the setters have everything they need to set the best easy blocs you have ever seen! Top draw setting should be for all levels of climbing and not just the hard blocs.
Once all the scores have been counted we will be crowning the winning bloc and the champion setter!
Don’t worry, we will also have a load of raffle prizes up for grabs for anyone who buys a ticket!
There will be a climbing makers market from 11am for you to peruse (think of it as an early Christmas Market) , a food stall and hopefully a shoe demo (TBC).
The idea is to make a day of it, come down early to see the setting process in action, grab some lunch, then try out some new climbing shoes while you climb and judge those comp standard V1’s!
Okay now you know the jist, time for the key details:
